Traveller's Cheques to purchase food, play games, buy goodies.
Around the World Theme
A passport with sticker stamps to mark each country.

Welcome guests to each room with customized signs.
 Some other great ideas:
-Use plastic take out containers and label "In flight Meal" with the editable toppers for your guests' meals.
- Serve multicultural cuisine at different stations.  When a guest visits that station and samples the food, the get a passport sticker in their passport.
-Have dollar store goodies the guests can purchase with their travellers' cheques.  This lets them create their own goodie bag to take home (which just happens to be a luggage design treat box).
-Have you or the birthday boy/girl act as a flight attendent gathering the "airline ticket invites" as guests arrive.
-Have guests dress up in different cultural outfits to add to the theme.
This kit will also be used shortly for a classroom activity and I will be sure to share photos!

Under the Big Top
There are so many fun activities to be enjoyed with a Circus/Carnival themed party. Our kit includes a fun Pin the Nose on the Clown Game.  Other great ideas include a juggling competition, clown school (let them dress up in clown noses, wigs, bow ties, big shoes - pics a must) and a tight rope walking competition.  You could also set up an arena with a "show" that could include dog tricks using your trusty pal, a clown and the kids putting on their own acts that they create!  You can use our editable text sign and personalize it to fit your party just right!

 Music Show Finale Party!
A fun spin on our Pop Stars party kit -a Music Show Finale Party!  Whether your favorite is AI, X-Factor or the Voice, you can celebrate the finale with style.  For drinks, I have done up our favorite beverage - pomegranate juice & club soda.  Using a cookie cutter, I cut out star shapes from a pineapple to float in the juice and to garnish drinks.  Microphones are easily made out of colored ice cream cones and chocolate cupcakes with black or grey icing.
A versatile kit to use for birthday or any music inspired party!

 Baby Shower
One of my favorite iced coffe latte recipes would be the perfect beverage to serve at a spring/summer baby shower.  It is so easy to make caffeine free for the mom to be by just using decaf coffee.  The recipe calls for coffee granules but I just use brewed coffee & eliminate one of the cups of water.  Delicious and easy!  You can find the recipe here.  You can find more party ideas here in Pinterest.

Campin' Out!
We are very excited for the summer to arrive and for camping to start.  If ANY of us had summer birthdays we would definitely be doing a camp out themed party.  This one was so fun to create and we all  loved the sweets!
These are little mini cupcakes with the tops dipped into melted blue chips.  I then used white sprinkles for the dots.

I have been dying to do this Smore in a Jar recipe.  They are truly decadent - but super easy to make!
 Here is the recipe.
I got to cheat on these ones since I  have a smore maker!  While the smores were still hot, I inserted the lollipop stick.  Then I stuck them in the freezer for 15 minutes before dipping the tops in melted chocolate.  For the display I covered flower foam with a burlap material and then just inserted the sticks through the holes in the burlap, into the flower foam.

What campfire is complete with a few ghost stories.  These frozen banana pops are easy and delicious!  I substitued yogurt for white chocolate for a little bit healthier option.  You can find the original recipe here.

Creating an Enchanted Garden
We just recently read The Secret Garden again which is one of my all time favourite books.  This and our beautiful spring inspired me to create an Enchanted Garden Kit.  Wispy tulle, stark branches, moss covered stones, butterflies, fairies - these were all the things swirling around in  my head as I created the kit.
To photograph the kit I picked up a few whimsical pieces here and there.
Bird's nests (available at any craft store or Walmart) are a cute way to serve up treats.  These ones are holding jelly beans.
Brightly coloured flower pot - adds a pop of colour to the table.  I then took our butterfly cut outs and printed two of each. You lay one on top of the other and glue together at the butterfly body leaving the wings free.  Then on the top butterfly fold the wings up slightly to give a 3D effect.

Twig Ball - I scattered them around the table but they would also look great in a glass vase.

Marshmallows - I stacked two together and dipped them into white chocolate.  Then I used the umbrella toppers from our kit to create toadstools.

You can see more ideas for creating the perfect Enchanted Garden on my pinterest board here.

Add a Little Sparkle!
A fun and inexpensive activity for your partygoers is to have them decorate their own party hat or wand.  You can find craft gems at any dollar or craft store.  I paid $1.25 for 500 gems.  In the above pic I used printables from our Fairy Tea Party set.  For the middle party hat I decorated the top and centre of the star with gems. For the cone party hats, I cut out wand stars affixed gems to the centre and cut a lollipop stick to a quarter length.  I then attached the star to the lollipop stick and taped it to the inside of the party hat just at the top.  For the wand, I used satin ribbon (50 cents for the whole role and I used about 3/4 yard of the role).  I wrapped a large lollipop stick with the ribbon and then attached our star wand printable to the top (with a gem in the centre).  I then tied exta ribbon around the middle and affixed a gem to the centre of the bow.  A magic fairy wand any little princess will love!
TIP: for the wand put some double sided tape around the bottom where you are going to start winding your ribbon around.  It will stop the ribbon from fraying and keep it in place.  Do the same for the top where your ribbon will end.  If you have sufficient amounts of double sided tape, I would run it up each side of the lollipop stick too before you attach the ribbon as it will ensure the ribbon stays put for your little crafters.

Racetrack Party Them Ideas
This party kit shoot was very fun to plan (maybe because I have a boy!).  I decided to go with blue cake pops to bring out the blue in the kit.  These were made very easy by the new cake pop maker I bought at Walmart.  This machine allows me to make perfect circle cake pops without using icing and, therefore, reducing the sweetness.  I definately recommend getting one!
I also made some "dipsticks" with pretzels dipped in blue and white coating (I had hoped for black for the oil look but couldn't find any black chips)
 and some "spare tire" donuts.
I also found this healthy idea for a racecar inspired snack:
You can check out the "how to" here!
Toy dinky cars make great decorations and you can also put them in their goodie bags!

5 Ways to Use Circle Toppers!

*Cupcake Toppers
*Straw Decoration
*Blower Decoration
*CakePop Doily
*Cup Decoration

Accessorize!

Mason jars make a great party cup.  You can serve both hot or cold drinks and they look fab with our straw flags.
Ribbon always make everything pretty!  Spruce up a glass jar by simply filling it with candy, wrapping a ribbon around and adding a 2" circle sticker.
Have fun with it!  Love how Erin took the food labels and used them to label her stuffed turkey!

Paper Plate Decorations
A great way to have co-ordinating plates for your party is to take our 6" circle graphic and glue it to the middle of your paper plate facing up.  Then to protect it from the food (and the food from it!) you just take transparent sticker paper (you can find this at Walmart or any office supply store) and cover the circle.  You will want to cut the transparent sticker paper in a circle about 1/4 inch bigger than the 6" circle graphic.  Voila!  Cute matching plates.

Barnyard/Farm Party

Lil Chickie Marsmellow Pops

To make 12 yellow and 12 white chickies you will need the following:
12 Marshmellows
2 tsp Shortening
1 bag of white candy coating
1 bag of yellow candy coating
Lollipop sticks
Wilton's Floral Medley Sprinkles (or orange & yellow heart sprinkles and orange flower sprinkles)
Black sprinkles
For the nest:
2 boxes
Crinkle Paper
Flower Foam

* First you need to make your nest!   Take your box lid and turn it upside down.  Slice your flower foam into approximately 2" slices (or larger if your lid is deeper).  Cover with crinkle paper.  Your nests are now ready for their chicks!
* Cut the marshmellow in half so that you have two circles.  Take one candy coating color and put in a microwave safe bow.  Add 1 tsp of shortening.  Melt in the microwave stirring every 25 seconds.

*Take one marshmellow half and stick in a lollipop.  Make sure it is far enough in that the marshmellow won't fall off in the coating.  Now dip your marshmellow pop in the coating.  While still "wet" add on your beak which is an orange heart upside down so the pointy part is sticking out.  Now add yellow hearts for the wings, orange flowers for the feet and an orange heart upside down for the comb.  Use black sprinkles for the eyes or an edible marker.  If you use the marker, apply when the coating has hardened.  Now put your chickie in its nest by sticking the lollipop stick into the flower foam!  Voila!  Cute treats the kids will love.  Now do the other color!

You can even have the kids make these as a party craft.  It would be fun to see what they come up with!

Some Healthy Options:

Cookie cutters aren't just for cookies!  Try out these healthy options:
* Make cream cheese sandwiches and then use the cutters to make them into shapes.
* A cheese and cracker tray with the cheese cut into animal shapes.

Barnyard Mac N Cheese
- Take your favorite Mac N Cheese recipe and use animal shaped noodles.  You can find lots of barnyard/farm shaped pasta here but my local grocery store also stocks it.

Some other ideas:
Corn on the Cob
Pigs in a blanket (not the healthiest but also not sweet!)
Chicken nuggets (sometimes come in animal shapes)
Healthy snacks in the "Feed Sacks".  I used Smartfood but you can also make homemade bits and bites and control the ingredients.  I often use this recipe here, increasing the spice (except the seasoning salt) and omitting the peanuts for my niece who has an allergy.

I'd love to hear some of your healthy farm inspired recipes!

T-Shirt Iron On
A fun and easy idea to help the birthday boy or girl celebrate their day is to create an iron-on for them to wear.  Iron on transfer paper can be purchased at Walmart or any office supply store and you can get 12 sheets from anywhere between $9-12.  You can also purchase online from Avery.
Pirate Tee created using our Pirates Editable Text Party Kit
Here are the other tools you are going to need:
- Iron (obviously!).  Set it on highest setting with no steam.
-T-shirt (white is best)
-Ruler
-Printer
-Printer Ink

Select the image you want to put on your t-shirt.  In our kits we have 6" t-shirt stickers that would be perfect for this.  In many of our Editable Text Kits you can also add your own text to the 6" circle (like I did in the above pic).  However, you can use any image that you want.  When you go to print your iron on you are going to want to select mirror print or reverse print so that the iron on isn't backwards once you apply it.  Do a test print first to make sure everything looks good and to ensure your ink levels are okay before you print on your iron on transfer paper. Once you have printed on the transfer paper, cut around your image.  Press your t-shirt so that there are no wrinkles.  Place the iron on face down where you want to apply it.  This is where the ruler comes in handy.  I always measure over from the side seam to make sure I have it in the middle.  Once you have your iron on where you want it,  place your hot iron in the middle and then move in slow circles over the back of the iron on.  I usually do this for about 2-3 minutes and you will probably see the iron on back start to pull away from the t-shirt.  Gently pull the remaining backing away from the t-shirt.  Voila!  Their very own special birthday tee!
